A U. of I. student reported at 7:15 p.m. Friday that $110 was stolen from his wallet at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign. The student left his wallet in a backpack in an unlocked locker before showering. When he returned, he noticed the backpack was unzipped and the money was missing from his wallet.

A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked at U. of I. parking lot F-23, 1101 W. Florida Ave., Urbana, between Nov. 6-18. The estimated cost to replace the part was $700.

At 1:29 a.m. Sunday near the corner of Hessel Boulevard and South Randolph Street, Champaign, Jordan A. Ruckman, 28, of Paxton, Illinois, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police observed Ruckman driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Ruckman also was cited for improper lane usage.

At 1:33 a.m. Sunday at a bar in the 100 block of East Green Street, Champaign, it was reported that a smartphone and an Illinois state driver’s license were stolen from a purse. GPS tracking indicated that the phone was taken to the 1600 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Urbana. The total value of the stolen goods is $830.

A U. of I. student reported that the contents of a package delivered to her apartment in the 100 block of East Daniel Street, Champaign, were stolen between 2:30-3:30 p.m. Dec. 5. A package containing a coat valued at $70 was delivered to the mailbox area of her apartment building. The victim found the package ripped open on the mail room floor with the contents missing.

A U. of I. student reported Dec. 5 that his bicycle was stolen between Dec. 1-2 from the bicycle racks near the 1000 block of West Illinois Street, Urbana. The bike, which was valued at $150, was locked to a rack, but the lock was found cut and broken nearby.

A U. of I. student reported Thursday that a package was stolen from the mail room of his apartment building in the 700 block of South Fourth Street, Champaign. The package was delivered to the front desk area of the apartment building around 3 p.m. Dec. 3 but the student couldn’t find the package after searching the building. The total value of stolen goods was $1,200.

On Sunday, a U. of I. student reported that multiple packages had been stolen from her apartment building in the 300 block of East Green Street, Champaign, between 1-3 p.m. Friday. No information on the total value or the exact number of stolen packages was provided.

On Friday, it was reported that a plastic, battery-operated menorah was stolen from the lobby area of Wassaja Hall, 1202 S. First St., Champaign. The menorah, which was valued at $25, was stolen from the holiday display at the front desk of the residence hall between 7-11 p.m. Dec. 2.

On Dec. 5, a U. of I. student reported that a water bottle was stolen from a locker at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Dr., Champaign, between 5:45-6:50 p.m. Dec. 3. The bottle, which was valued at $60, was locked in a locker with a programmable combination near the indoor running track.
