Ricky D. Stickrod, 67, no address provided, was arrested at 11:16 p.m. Sunday near Pennsylvania Avenue and Maryland Drive, Urbana, on a Champaign County warrant for failure to appear in court. Police were called by a witness who reported that Stickrod was looking into parked vehicles.

A U. of I. student reported that his cellphone, wallet and shoe inserts had been stolen. The items went missing sometime between when the student arrived at a bar in the 100 block of East Green Street, Champaign, at 9 p.m. Saturday and when he woke up in a parked vehicle near First Street at 6 a.m. Sunday. No further information was available. The total estimated value of the stolen items is $1,060.

At 10:14 p.m. Saturday, the manager of a restaurant in the 100 block of East Green Street, Champaign, reported that a third-party delivery driver had threatened the manager over a parking dispute. The driver had left the restaurant before police arrived.

A U. of I. student reported that his bicycle had been stolen between Wednesday and Friday outside Allen Hall, 1005 W. Gregory Drive, Urbana. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $416, was locked to a rack.*

A U. of I. student reported that his bicycle had been stolen between Nov. 7 and Thursday outside his apartment in the 900 block of South First Street, Champaign. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $250, was locked to a rack.*

A U. of I. student reported Friday that she had been the victim of deceptive practices between Oct. 11-17. Seeking help for an upcoming exam, the student requested tutoring services through a website. An unknown person responded to her request and asked for personal information, including passwords to her university accounts and remote access to her computer. On the day of the computer-based exam, the scammer took control of the student’s computer and threatened to expose her for cheating if she did not send money. The student reported that she paid $6,189 and asked a friend to send additional money, making the total around $12,000.

A U. of I. student reported Nov. 7 that a package had been stolen Oct. 31 after it was delivered to the mail area of his apartment in the 200 block of South Fourth Street, Champaign. The retail value of the package is $290.12.

Three U. of I. students reported that they were attacked at 1:59 a.m. Friday at Fourth and Green streets, Champaign. The students were crossing the street with the right-of-way in the crosswalk when a vehicle almost struck them. The students exchanged words with two occupants of the vehicle before the occupants exited the vehicle and began to punch the students multiple times. The students did not require medical assistance.
