A U. of I. student reported that his bicycle had been stolen Saturday outside Sherman Hall, 909 S. Fifth St., Champaign. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $250, was locked to a rack.*

A vehicle was reported stolen between 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Sunday from a parking garage in the 500 block of South Third Street, Champaign. The vehicle, which has an estimated value of $5,000, was left unlocked with the keys inside.

A vehicle was reported stolen between 1:40-2:15 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of West Oregon Street, Urbana. The vehicle, which has an estimated value of $17,000, was left unlocked and running with the keys in the ignition. Cash was also in the vehicle.

U. of I. student Minh A.N. Phan, 18, was arrested at 9:35 p.m. Saturday at her residence in the 300 block of East John Street, Champaign, for domestic battery. Phan reportedly struck another U. of I. student in the face.

Vanessa Willey, 27, of Northlake, Illinois, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of East Green Street, Champaign, for domestic battery. Police initially were called by a witness who reported seeing Willey strike another person in the face.

Ellis T. Woodland, 30, of Rantoul, Illinois, was arrested at 4:18 a.m. Saturday near Main Street and Busey Avenue, Urbana, for driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of cannabis in a vehicle and driving without taillights. Police determined that Woodland was impaired after his vehicle crashed into the rear end of an unoccupied vehicle parked on the side of the street.

Christopher D. Holmes, 26, of Rantoul, Illinois, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. Saturday at Fourth and Green streets, Champaign, for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked license and impeding traffic. Police initially stopped Holmes after an officer observed him asleep in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle parked in a traffic lane.

It was reported that a gun and a firearm owner’s identification card had been stolen from a vehicle between 9 p.m. and midnight Thursday while it was parked in a garage in the 300 block of East John Street, Champaign. The vehicle was unlocked upon the owner’s return. The gun has an estimated value of $340.

A U. of I. employee reported that he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident at 5:01 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of West Gregory Drive, Urbana. The employee and another person were both riding bicycles when they collided. The other person rode away before they could exchange information. The employee sustained minor injuries, and his $1,700 bicycle was significantly damaged.

A U. of I. student reported that his electric scooter had been stolen between 6 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday outside Grainger Engineering Library, 1301 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana. The scooter, which has an estimated value of $630, was locked to a rack.

Mark A. Ambrose, 46, of Urbana, was arrested at 4:39 p.m. Friday near Goodwin Avenue and Main Street, Urbana, for theft and possession of burglary tools. A police officer saw Ambrose riding a skateboard and recognized him as the suspect in the theft of an electric scooter Oct. 7 at the Campus Instructional Facility, 1405 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana. Police found wire cutters and a multitool in his backpack.
