A U. of I. student reported that his electric scooter had been stolen between 5-6 p.m. Tuesday outside the Engineering Sciences Building, 1101 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana. The scooter, which has an estimated value of $594, was improperly locked to a bicycle rack.
A U. of I. student reported that her bicycle had been stolen overnight Monday or Tuesday outside her apartment in the 200 block of East John Street, Champaign. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $250, was locked to a rack.*
At 7 a.m. Monday, a construction manager reported that tools had been stolen sometime during the preceding weekend from their construction site in the 0-100 block of East Green Street, Champaign. The tools had been secured in a locked trailer and a locked cabinet, but someone had pried the containers open. The total estimated value of the stolen tools and damaged property is $2,500.
