At 1:04 a.m. Monday, a U. of I. student reported that she was inappropriately touched while waiting for a bus at the corner of Sixth and Green streets, Champaign. The offender, a 17-year-old minor, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. The minor also was issued a no-trespass order for university property.
Laresha L. Reed, 32, no permanent address, was arrested for trespassing at 8:49 a.m. Monday at an apartment building in the 500 block of East Healey Street, Champaign. Officers found Reed sleeping in a second-floor study room.
At 11:03 a.m. Monday, Damani D. McWilliams, 18, of Urbana, was arrested at her place of employment in the 1500 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, for an incident of aggravated battery that occurred at a fast-food restaurant in the 400 block of East Green Street, Champaign, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
A U. of I. student reported that his bicycle was stolen Dec. 7 from the racks outside Grainger Engineering Library, 1301 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana. The bicycle, which was locked to a rack, was valued at $600.
It was reported Monday that a car was burglarized Nov. 1 while it was parked in a lot in the 200 block of East Daniel Street, Champaign. The victim’s wallet and credit card were stolen along with work tools valued at more than $750. The credit card was used in more than $2,000 in fraudulent transactions in November.
Between 9:30 a.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, a car was burglarized in an apartment building parking garage in the 0-100 block of East Chalmers Avenue, Champaign. A cash box containing canceled concert tickets and $350 were stolen from the vehicle.
