On Tuesday, it was reported that 15 packages delivered between Dec. 16-20 had been stolen from an apartment building in the 500 block of East Healey Street, Champaign. The intended recipient was out of town until Jan. 13, and the packages were missing upon his return. They have a total estimated value of $2,250.
On Monday, a U. of I. employee reported that a former U. of I. student had stolen a university-owned laptop from the School of Information Sciences, 614 E. Daniel St., Champaign. The computer had been loaned to the student but was not returned at its Dec. 18 due date. The former student has not returned multiple messages inquiring about the computer, which has an estimated value of $1,400.
