A U. of I. student reported that a package had been stolen between 3:12-6 p.m. Sunday after it was delivered outside his apartment building in the 0-100 block of East Healey Street, Champaign. The package has an estimated value of $154.
On Dec. 7 at his residence in the 800 block of East Park Street, Urbana, Francisco Gonzalez, 60, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for delivery of a controlled substance. Detectives with the Champaign County Street Crimes Task Force obtained a search warrant for the apartment following an investigation into suspected drug activity. They found heroin, methadone and drug packaging materials. The incident has remained under investigation since the arrest date.
