A U. of I. student reported that a package had been stolen between 7:16 p.m. Wednesday and 9:15 a.m. Thursday after it was delivered to the mail area of her apartment building in the 1000 block of South Sixth Street, Champaign. The package has a retail value of $165.
A maintenance employee reported that he witnessed a man take two packages around midnight Tuesday from the mail area of an apartment building in the 1000 block of South First Street, Champaign. The man opened both packages and placed the boxes in a trash bin outside the building. When the boxes were retrieved, one was empty and the other still had its contents. The packages were addressed to separate people.
