URBANA, Illinois – A University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign student was arrested late Thursday night for aggravated battery, reckless driving and disobeying a stop sign. At 10:35 p.m., Thursday, April 16, University of Illinois Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of East John Street and South Fifth Street in Champaign for a crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle. URBANA, Illinois – An Urbana man was arrested Wednesday for possession of child sexual abuse material. University of Illinois Police Department (UIPD) detectives arrested Haocheng “Charlie” Wang, 23, of Urbana, on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). University Police investigating reported sexual assault
CHAMPAIGN, Illinois — University of Illinois Police officers responded to 57 E. Springfield Ave., Champaign, at 6:46 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, to investigate a sexual assault reported earlier that morning.
