Campus Safety Notices

When a crime happens, University Police promptly inform the community.

Campus Safety Notices are issued by email whenever a serious crime on or immediately adjacent to campus poses a continuing risk to students and employees. While many of these email notices are required by the federal Clery Act, UIPD often goes beyond legal requirements in telling our campus about public safety issues so you have all the information you need to take the appropriate steps to reduce your likelihood of being targeted by a criminal.

The differently titled Community Safety Notices are issued when an event occurs in our on- or off-campus community that does not meet the federal requirements for a Clery notice but still warrants a public notification.
